Be-Ge takes a seat in the West Midlands

Be-Ge Industri AB has manufactured seats for commercial vehicles since 1949. The first driver seats from Be-Ge were used in trucks from Scania, and today's its seats can be found in use in all types of commercial vehicle and machinery across the world. Be-Ge is the world's oldest manufacturer of suspended driver seats and one of the leading manufacturers of seats for trucks, buses, large and small industrial forklifts, as well as construction and railway vehicles.

Be-Ge has always done well in the UK market and since opening the office last summer, Be-Ge Seating UK Limited has received an overwhelming positive response from both current and new customers in the bus and coach industry.

Significant new orders have been received from a number of bus and coach operators including Nottingham City Transport, London General and Wilts & Dorset Bus. In addition Be-Ge has been selected to supply the seating for a new fleet of Command and Control vehicles for the West Midlands Fire & Rescue Service.

"We are confident of good growth over the next 12 - 18 months and plan to target new markets in the UK such as construction, rail and fork lifters" said UK Sales Manager Chris Edwards.

Ronny Nilsson, Marketing Manager for Be-Ge Industri, said "Our new office at University of Warwick Science Park have provided an ideal and hassle free base for the new subsidiary with its central location and in-house support services. We could not have made such rapid progress without the assistance and support of the Bridge to Growth team, and we look forward to growing our UK team in the West Midlands region."

Be-Ge have also been able to secure funding from Business Link West Midlands allowing them to develop a new website and marketing material specifically for the UK.
